Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday is a global movement unleashing the power of generosity. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to move their money to causes they care about. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

When an asylum seeker lives with a host family, it costs about $8,000 a year for CASP to support them with legal aid, medical care, food, and basic needs. Our goal is to raise enough on GivingTuesday to support one asylum seeker for 12 months, which will help us to welcome a new neighbor this winter. We are excited to see the support and generosity of our community for GivingTuesday.

Our mission is to cultivate a supportive community for those seeking asylum in the U.S., while offering basic needs and accompanying them on their journey towards building a life in this country.
