Giving today is one of the many ways you can be involved in the crucial work of supporting asylum seekers in creating a home in southern Vermont. Together, we can create a welcoming and thriving community.
Please choose one of the following options to make a gift today:
By choosing to support asylum seekers on an ongoing basis, you allow CASP to plan for your gift each month. This both gives us more freedom to distribute that amount however and to whomever it is most needed and allows us to assess how many people we can support. Your support each month can be automatic and should be sustainable to your financial situation. Please call or email us if you want some guidance. To become a sustaining donor, please go to this donation form and choose monthly or weekly under “Donation Frequency.”
Except for cars, we are currently not taking any material donations. We have a small office space, and not much space for storage. We encourage folks to donate their items to Carry Me Home, Experienced Goods, or SEVCA. We partner with them to get items for asylum seekers when they need them. If we ever need something specific that we cannot find through partner organizations, we will send it out on our newsletter or post it on our social media or Front Porch Forum. Thank you for thinking of us and for understanding.
If the business you work for matches employee charitable donations, be sure to notify them of your donations to CASP.
If you’d like to donate stocks or other appreciated securities, contact our Treasurer at treasurer@caspvt.org to make arrangements.
If the RMD from your retirement account is an unneeded bonus to your regular income, consider sharing it with CASP!

Fundraising Ideas
Unlike refugees, asylum seekers are not permitted to work for a considerable period of time after they arrive. Those we host therefore depend on our financial support; we, in turn, depend on the creativity of our fundraisers and the generosity of our donors.
Have a fundraising idea? We’d love to hear from you – write to fundraising@caspvt.org.
Organize a Fundraiser
Maybe you’d like to set your own fundraising idea into motion. Do contact the Fundraising Committee to find out our guidelines.
One example of a simple-to-implement fundraiser: if you belong to an organization that’s sympathetic to CASP’s mission, you might ask that they call for individual donations to CASP as a surprise tribute to (or in memory of) some beloved member of that organization.
Create a Facebook Fundraiser
Instead of a birthday present, ask your friends to celebrate your birthday with a donation to CASP. To find out how, click here, and select Fundraisers for Charitable Organizations.
