Everything CASP Has Done In 2026....
So far in 2026 CASP has:
- Served a total of clients from Afghanistan, Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, Honduras, Mexico, Palestine, Russia, Sudan, and Tajikistan.
- Provided housing, employment, continued learning, and/or case management services to 29 clients, of whom 4 are new clients in 2026.
- Assisted an additional 6 individuals on a one-time basis with legal consultation or case management referrals, as well as assisting 4 former clients.
- Completed a successful community fundraiser, the April Arts Marathon, that engaged community members and raised a total of $35,000.
- Co-organized a community potluck at the Multicultural Center with the Root for Social Justice, the Ready Response Team, and the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC).
- Launched a collaborative Community Lawyering Initiative with the Vermont Asylum Support Project (VAAP) and Vermont Legal Aid (VLA) to expand access to immigration legal services in Southern Vermont.
- Hired a bilingual case manager with expanded hours to support CASP clients. Services provided include helping clients find housing, childcare, and legal assistance, as well as assisting with the payment of legal fees, completing immigration paperwork, and providing interpretation.
These successes are only possible because of community support!
