Sharon became Executive Director of CASP in September 2025. She is a passionate supporter of immigration justice and has both worked and volunteered for a variety of programs serving asylum seekers and refugees.

Most recently, she served as the Resettlement Director of the IRIS(Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services) office in Hartford Connecticut. In her previous position, Sharon has welcomed and supported over 200 refugees each year. She is also a volunteer with the Western Massachusetts Asylum Support Network and has hosted multiple asylum seekers.

Julie Morse was a freelance journalist in Mexico and California for several years, covering issues such as immigration and public health. She also worked as a bilingual crisis hotline counselor for 988 and as an arts teacher in Bay Area public schools.

She has volunteered with La Raza Centro Legal and Western Massachusetts Asylum Support Network in helping immigrants file USCIS documents. Originally from Northampton, MA, she’s excited to be a Case Manager at CASP.
